TERMS OF BUSINESS

The following Terms of Business are in relation to sale and purchase transactions between Custom Basins Limited and the purchaser of their products. “We” / “us” / “our” refers to the company, Custom Basins Limited aka the vendor. “You” / “your” refers to the customer/ buyer/ purchaser.

Please read, understand and agree to the following Terms of Business before placing your order. If you have any questions or if you are unsure about any any of the points then it is your responsibility to contact us to seek clarification via info@custombasins.co.uk

ORDERING

We have two ordering options. The first is directly from our website with our standard off-the-shelf products that are available for set prices. The second is by getting in touch with us directly, either via email or social media, to discuss your requirements and attain a bespoke quotation. Due to fluctuations in product prices and transportation costs, quotations are valid for 14 days only and are subject to change thereafter.

TOLERANCE / PRODUCT DIMENSIONS

It is your responsibility as the purchaser, to provide accurate measurements of the space where you wish to situate your Custom Basin. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for products being the incorrect size based on your measurements. With that said we recommend that you double check your measurements and take care to check for features within your allocated space such as skirting boards or protruding sockets that may affect the depth of your unit.

Please bear in mind that due to the nature of materials and production processes the dimensions may vary within a tolerance of +/-2mm on furniture, +/- 2% on cast mineral basins, +/-5% on ceramic products. Cast basins are designed and guaranteed to be used with hot water up to a maximum temperature of 65ºC. This temperature must not be exceeded. The surfaces of ceramic products may contain minor imperfections due to the nature of the material. Sanitaryware may carry branding from our relevant manufacturers.

LEAD TIMES

Custom Basins by name, Custom Basins by nature and due to our customisation options, lead times vary. Please refer to individual product listings for regularly updated lead times. You will be notified when your Custom Basin is being shipped and along with an estimated time-frame for delivery.

PRICING AND PAYMENTS

All of our prices are subject to VAT and will be quoted accordingly. We do not operate an in-house credit system and consequently, we require all products to be paid for in full. We do accept PayPal which independently offers a ‘Pay-in-three’ option, subject to their own individual credit checks but please note that this option is taken at your own risk and is entirely separate from our company. For more information in relation to this please refer to the PayPal website and their own terms and conditions.

INSTALLATION

All Custom Basins units come with everything they need and will arrive with you fully built. Only the standard narrow 400mm unit will require you to install the tap and if this is applicable to your purchase, these instructions will be emailed to you prior to delivery. It is vital that you follow these instructions precisely step-by-step.

For all other units, there is no installation necessary but you will receive a clear user guide and we advise you to read this carefully prior to first use and always use your Custom Basin in line with this guidance.

DELIVERY

All orders include free delivery.

DAMAGES AND  RETURNS

We take great pride and care in the preparation and processing of our products. Prior to shipping, we fully inspect and test each and every unit and photograph each one prior to distribution. Consequently, it is beyond unlikely that any damage will occur without noticeable signs being visible on the outer packaging.

For this reason, all deliveries must be inspected and packaging checked for any signs of damage before accepting the delivery. If there are any visible signs of damage whatsoever then you must NOT sign to accept your Custom Basin, but instead, we instruct you to refuse and reject the delivery to return it and inform us of this action immediately.

We advise you to only accept the delivery once you have thoroughly inspected the packaging and are satisfied that there are no signs of damage whatsoever.

Once our products are shipped, the delivery company is responsible for their condition and therefore, it is your liability, as the recipient, to thoroughly inspect and only accept your item if it arrives undamaged. We cannot accept liability for products damaged in transit but providing the correct procedures are followed, we can assist with any damage claims against the delivery company, should it be necessary.

The pre-authorised return of non-faulty products that are no longer required, will be subject to a restocking charge which will be quoted at the point of authorisation and must be processed within 14-days of delivery.Furthermore, they must be returned at your own cost, in suitable packaging for both damage-free transit and future resale to the following address:

ONE YEAR WARRANTY

Our one year warranty covers our taps, automatic water pumps and water heaters against faulty materials or manufacturing defects. This is offered provided our products have been installed and maintained in accordance with our installation instructions, user guide and product care instructions. It does not cover normal wear and tear, which naturally and inevitably occurs during normal use.

The warranty, which applies to the UK only, is limited to fair and realistic use of the products and to the original purchaser. Should you choose to sell your Custom Basin, the warranty is non-transferable between owners.

Take care to ensure that your environment where you plan to situate your Custom Basin is suitable. If it is prone to steam/ damp then it is important to provide adequate ventilation (such as an extractor fan). This prevents the build up of condensation, which may be harmful to your product over time. We also advise drying any excess splash from your unit and not leaving spills to gather or sit on the unit for long periods of time.

In the unlikely event that the product fails within the stated warranty period, we will do everything in our power to repair/replace the product(s) in the first instance. We will require you to send us the faulty part(s) back for inspection and testing (return label will be provided); following our inspection and testing, we will issue a replacement if necessary. A call-out charge and mileage fee will apply, dependent on time and distance calculated from our business premises in Swindon, Wiltshire (which will be agreed prior). If a repair is not possible, then we will offer a replacement or replacement parts (or nearest equivalent). Liability is limited to individual products and does not cover consequential loss, damages or further installation costs involved. Any warranty claims should be made in writing to info@custombasins.com, enclosing a copy of the original invoice and supporting evidence.
